Man allegedly fires gun in purchasing centre daylight theft in Sydney’s south-west


One man is on the run and one other has been charged following an armed theft at a jewellery retailer in Sydney’s southwest yesterday.

Police say a person entered Diamond Hill Jewelers and threatened an worker with a gun, whereas a second man stood guard outdoors.

Detective Superintendent Andrew Evans stated officers have been “brave” to deliver the primary man to the bottom, however the second man escaped.

Police say the person poses no menace to public security.
