Virginia congressional race in intently watched swing district tied between Luria, Kiggans: ballot

The Virginia 2nd Congressional race has attracted notable curiosity with a novel pair of candidates – each Luria and Kiggans are army veterans.

Luria – who served 20 years within the Navy, spending most of her time assigned to ships as she rose to the rank of commander – defeated incumbent GOP Consultant Scott Taylor in 2018 as a part of the blue wave that introduced Democrats again to the Home. after eight years within the minority.

Kiggans, who was a US Navy helicopter pilot, has mentioned she is “able to serve” once more, in Congress. She received the Republican primaries in Virginia’s 2nd congressional district on June 21, securing her spot within the November midterms.
