Dad of adlescent attacked by shark reveals second he realized

Nat Drummond was only one kilometer into his race beginning at Seacliff Surf Lifesaving Membership, south of Adelaide, round 11:30am, when he was attacked by a big shark.

His father, Murray Drummond, was the timekeeper for the competitors and stated he knew one thing was mistaken when he noticed an uproar within the water.

Drummond informed 9News: “I used to be the official timekeeper and after we began the race, about 30 seconds after the race began, there was some commotion and I began to see the rowers going to the totally different course.

“Then I heard on the radio that there was a shark and one of many skateboards had been bitten.

“I used to be considering ‘I hope it is not Nathaniel’.”

The results of the assault have been extreme and his son was thrown into the air.

He shortly swam to the place the opposite rowers have been speeding to avoid wasting him, bringing him to shore safely with out a lot injury.

“My coronary heart sinks,” stated Drummond.

“After I see him on the seaside and smile, my feelings are drained.
