Colorado Springs Fireplace Division placing out wildfire on Mount Muscoco

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) -Colorado Springs firefighters investigated a wildfire on Mount Muscoco on the west aspect of town on Saturday morning.

Colorado Springs Fireplace Division officers stated the hearth was named the 4 Corners Flame.

Officers reported round 9:20 a.m. that firefighters had arrived within the space and a helicopter was on its approach to drop buckets of water and help the crew. They estimated that the hearth was lower than an acre huge, however added that it occurred over tough terrain.

Firefighters stated they have been first notified of the hearth at 1:45 a.m. Saturday.

Officers stated 24 firefighters hiked two hours to the hearth and plan to spend a lot of the day coping with it.

Officers additionally stated North Cheyenne Canyon Park and Helen Hunt Falls could be closed on Saturday.
